Cleveland's Classic Console & Arcade Gaming Show: July 20, 2019

Updated: Jul 7, 2019

Do you live in Northeast Ohio? Do you like classic video games? Are you free on July 20, 2019? Then you should attend Cleveland's Classic Console & Arcade Gaming Show!

What is Cleveland's CCAG?

Cleveland's Classic Console & Arcade Gaming Show, or CCAG for short, is an annual event in Northeast Ohio. Focusing on the classic era of video gaming, CCAG offers tournaments, prizes and collectible video games (for sale and trade). Attendees also have an opportunity to play classic arcade games and check out demo setups.

This year's CCAG is Saturday, July 20, 2019 from noon - 7p.m. at the Soccer Sportsplex in North Olmsted, Ohio (31515 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070).

What is included in the ticket price?

I'm really excited about how affordable this show is - $10 for adults and FREE for kids 12 and under. I'm all about including the next generation of gamers and, with kids being free, it's easier than ever to involve them! I'm the first gamer in my family so I never had an adult that was interested in taking me to conventions and local Pokémon TCG tournaments. With the opportunities kids have now and with more gamer parents out there, I'm excited to see what the future of gaming holds for our community.

All attendees receive one free raffle coupon where you'll have the chance to win some amazing prizes. (Additional raffle coupons available for a small fee.) The folks at CCAG have been sharing photos of the prizes on Facebook, so check their page for the latest information.

Anything else to know?

  • The show begins at noon on July 20. As exciting as it'll be to go to the show, please don't arrive early. The organizers will still be setting up to make sure you have a great experience.

  • Payment options: The admission fee is cash-only. It's up to the vendors to decide which payment options they accept: cash, credit, PayPal. CCAG recommends bringing cash. (There is an ATM on-site but it will probably run out of money throughout the course of the show.)

  • Have games you want to get rid of? CCAG encourages you to bring your unwanted games for sale or trade during the show.

  • The show will be live streamed on Twitch thanks to video game talk show, The GameRoom.

  • Please give the folks at CCAG a follow on Facebook to show your support. You'll be able to see all the updates for the upcoming show as well as information about other retro gaming opportunities in Northeast Ohio.

  • Keep your wristband after the show for for 10% off (and tax free) purchases at Video Game Connection in Cleveland for the entire week after the show.

  • My husband and I will be attending the show for the first time and I'll be sharing some coverage over on my Instagram Stories, so keep an eye out!
